Lead Vocals/ Rhythm Guitar/ Keys.
Chris has been playing guitar and keys since he was 13 and began singing/ songwriting at the age of 14, having inherited the bug (and his first guitar) from his father, also a well-known and respected musician.
Chris has been in Walkway since their inception in 2008, founding the band with brother
James (Lead guitar).
Chris' front-man influences include: Steve Perry (Journey),
Steven Tyler (Aerosmith)
Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin).
His real passion for rock music is evident through his vocal performances and songwriting.
Chris uses Sennheiser mics, Gibson and Jackson guitars and Blackstar amps.
Bass Guitar/ Backing Vocals.
Alex has been playing since the age of 12 and became interested in playing through the influence of his dad, who plays in a band with Chris and James' dad.
He cut his performing teeth in a school band and was recruited by Chris and James to play for Walkway at the earliest stage of the bands formation.
His musical influences include:
Red Hot Chili Peppers (Flea being his major bass influence),
Jimi Hendrix and
Rage Against The Machine.
Alex uses Sandberg basses, TC Electronic heads and Cabinets.
Lead Guitar/ Backing Vocals.
James is also a founder member of Walkway having started the band with brother Chris.
He has been playing the guitar since he was 10, and despite being the youngest member of the band, he has gained a reputation as one of the strongest guitarists on the local music scene.
James' guitar influences include: Eddie Van Halen,
Guthrie Govan and
James uses Ibanez, Gibson, Fender and PRS guitars, Hayden & Orange amps and a large variety of pedals.
James is endorsed by Hayden guitar amps & Roland/Boss.
Drums/ Percussion/ Backing Vocals
Joe has been playing drums since the early age of 7 and has always been keen on performing live.
From a young age Joe was playing at schools, youth clubs and talent shows. At the age of 19 - 22 Joe was drumming around Europe in countries including Belgium, France Germany and Portugal and also went over to the States for a one off show in New York.
Joe has completed a musicians performing and music tech course at Boston College and the College of West Anglia.
Joe's drumming influences include:

Joe uses Tama drums, pedals and hardware, Zildjian cymbals, Remo heads and Vic Firth sticks.
